Parking

Near the Valtice Palace, there are several parking facilities. 

Paid parking is available straight at the main square Náměstí Svobody in Valtice.

Another paid parking is available in Sklepní street, a few meters from the castle, you will find it to the left of the castle stairs, next to the entrance to the Herb Garden.

The largest parking area, also for buses, is located in Pod zámkem street – roughly a 3 minute walk from the castle. 

You can also park your car in Klášterní street or behind the sports hall Sporthala.

Accessibility

Wheelchair access is available to the premises on the ground floor of the castle where you can find the information centre and the shop; the Honourable Courtyard and the Inner Quadrangle including the café, the wine shop and toilets. Also the Castle Theatre, the Winter Riding Hall, the Spanish Stables, the castle terraces over the town of Valtice, and the Hubertus hotel all have disabled access.

The main guided tour is on the 1st floor of the castle building.  Exhibitions are situated on the 2nd floor, and it is not possible to provide wheelchair access.

Pets

Pets are only allowed to enter the surroundings of the castle on a leash.

Pets are not allowed to take part any guided tours, expositions, and exhibitions.

Cyclists

It is prohibited to ride a bicycle, a Segway, a scooter, or similar in the whole area; leading a bicycle is allowed in the castle park and on terraces (as indicated by traffic signs).

Entering the central part of the Valtice Palace with a bicycle is restricted. Leaning/laying bicycles against greenery, facades, and balconies carries a fine of 1 000 CZK.

In front of the castle, there is a bike shed for 100 bicycles where you can leave your bicycle for a fee of 10 CZK; and you can get a discount in the castle shop or in the refreshment shop within the quadrangle upon presenting the bill.

Child facilities

Within the Inner Quadrangle, there is a Children´s Centre with limited opening hours.

Refreshments

There are several refreshments at the Palace area. In the inner courtyard you will find the Chokolito chocolate bar, fast food at the Courtyard and the wine shop at the ground floor of the palace building with a rich assortment of VOC Valtice wines and the princely Liechtenstein winery
